 Living in Brooklyn in 2018, I was gifted the idea of making candles as a side hustle. I bought a starter kit and made my first few candles. After a week or 2 of making candles, I stopped because my room in Brooklyn was too small. Yes, I lived in a shoebox! Two years later, back in my hometown, I decided to start the hobby back up. After months of testing and feeding myself affirmations in the mirror, 501 & Company was created.

501 originated from my family history. My grandparents’ home, where we would all gather for holidays, birthdays and weekends. We would run around the house playing tag and be in the house just before dinner. 501 was our families gathering space and, I believe my family and I would agree, our forever home.
